Richard Heayes

Richard has been working as product designer for over 30 years.

After graduating in Industrial design he won the BASF plastics design award and was finalist in the young designers awards which led to a job at Curver Housewares, designing everything from vacuum flasks to garden furniture.

From there he went to Loncrain Broxton, a design led puzzle and gift company. The toy buzz then led him to Hasbro, where he held various design positions working on brands like Playskool, Micro Machines, Tonka, Playdoh, Monopoly and Cluedo.

He was Design Director for the team based in West London until 2014. He then set up his own design consultancy focusing on Play.  He consults and invents for global toy and game companies and has been listed in the Mojo Nation 100 since it’s inception as 
one of the leading figures in toy and game design.
